During a recent visit to Jaleaca de Catalán, Governor Evelyn Salgado Pineda of Guerrero announced a significant investment exceeding 97 million pesos aimed at enhancing infrastructure in the Sierra de Chilpancingo. This funding will support essential projects in connectivity, potable water, educational infrastructure, and social development, addressing longstanding historical deficits in the region. The governor's commitment to return with concrete results was welcomed warmly by the local community, showing the administration's increased focus on rural development.
Governor Salgado instructed the State Commission for Potable Water, Sewage, and Drainage (CAPASEG) to develop executive projects across 28 mountainous communities. This initiative aims to improve the coverage of basic services for families and foster sustainable development in the area. The government's emphasis on enhancing local infrastructure suggests a strategic effort to close the gap between urban and rural facilities, promoting better living conditions for residents.
Highlighting her administration's dedication, Salgado emphasized that over 228 million pesos have been allocated to the Sierra de Chilpancingo, with more than 76 million of that specifically targeted towards projects in Jaleaca de Catalán.
