4 Martyrs in Gaza and Reopening of Rafah Crossing for a Limited Number of Patients

Four Palestinians were killed in Israeli airstrikes in Gaza as the Rafah crossing with Egypt was reopened for a limited number of patients.

Four Palestinians were reported killed in Israeli airstrikes targeting citizens in the Al-Tuffah and Al-Zeitoun neighborhoods in Gaza City. Meanwhile, the Gaza crossing authority announced the reopening of the Rafah border crossing with Egypt, but only for a limited number of patients. This situation continues to reflect the severe humanitarian challenges faced by Gazans seeking medical treatment especially during ongoing conflicts.

According to Mahmoud Basal, a spokesperson for the Civil Defense Authority in Gaza, Israeli planes carried out two attacks on groups of civilians on Thursday. The Gaza hospitals confirmed the arrival of the bodies of the four martyrs. In counterclaims, the Israeli military stated that the airstrikes were targeted killings of four militants who allegedly crossed the designated yellow line, deemed to be a security threat under the ceasefire agreement established in October 2025.

The yellow line represents a demarcation zone where Israeli forces retreated as per the ceasefire, and Palestinians are prohibited from entering the residential and agricultural areas beyond this line. They face the risk of immediate targeting by the Israeli military if they approach it. Hamas spokesperson Hazem Qassem condemned the strikes as a deliberate escalation of aggression against the people of Gaza, indicating that the situation remains tense and that confrontations between Israeli forces and Palestinian groups continue to rise.
