His administration has announced a grant from the Semiconductor Innovation Fund (TSIF) to Texas Tech University, aimed at establishing a specialized lab that will focus on semiconductor technologies. Previously, Abbott had also granted funding from the same source to Prairie View A&M University, amounting to $1.98 million to support advanced training programs in microelectronics, specifically in 3D Heterogeneous Integration (3DHI) technologies.
