Livelo tests new function that allows users to combine points to issue airline tickets
Livelo is testing a new feature called 'Viaja Junto' that allows users to combine points from different accounts to issue airline tickets.
Livelo, a Brazilian loyalty program, has launched a trial for a new feature named 'Viaja Junto,' which enables users to aggregate points from various accounts for purchasing airline tickets. This innovation aims to simplify the ticket redemption process, especially since a significant portion of individuals participating as secondary travelers already have Livelo accounts. The average point balance for these users is substantial, which could facilitate smoother ticket acquisition processes.
The functionality works by allowing a primary user to invite another individual to contribute points towards a ticket purchase. During the ticket redemption process, the primary account holder can specify how many points they wish the invited person to contribute, who then has the option to accept the invitation and transfer the required points. Interestingly, the invited user is not obligated to travel alongside the primary individual, making the feature flexible for various users who may wish to consolidate points from friends or family members.
Through this initiative, Livelo aims to address common barriers individuals face while redeeming flight tickets, enhancing the loyalty program's attractiveness and usability. Given that a considerable portion of users already possess points within the program, it is expected that this feature could lead to increased customer satisfaction and potentially foster greater brand loyalty, reflecting Livelo's commitment to improving customer experience in travel planning.
