More Powerful Energy in the Field: 15,000 Residents of MS Will Have Three-Phase Network
The government of Mato Grosso do Sul has launched the MS Trifásico program to enhance access to three-phase electricity in rural areas, impacting around 15,000 residents.
The government of Mato Grosso do Sul has announced the launch of the MS Trifásico program aimed at improving electrical infrastructure in rural areas by expanding access to three-phase electricity by 2028. This initiative is expected to benefit approximately 15,000 residents across 74 settlements in 17 municipalities within the state. The project will involve the installation of around 2,000 kilometers of electric networks, with the first phase catering to over 7,000 individuals. The financial investment for this undertaking is estimated at R$ 172 million, in collaboration with the utility company Energisa.
With the expansion of the three-phase network, rural producers will gain the ability to utilize energy-intensive equipment, such as irrigation systems and heavy machinery, significantly enhancing their productivity and operational efficiency. This change is expected to foster innovations in agricultural practices, allowing for mechanization and the diversification of farming activities, which could lead to improved economic outcomes for local farmers. The program also includes the installation of 500 transformers to boost the capacity for energy supply, ensuring that the increased energy needs of rural residents can be met effectively.
Overall, the implementation of the MS Trifásico program marks a crucial development in the regional infrastructure, aiming to modernize agricultural practices and support rural economies. As access to reliable electricity improves, the potential for increased agricultural productivity and sustainability becomes more attainable, paving the way for growth and enhanced living conditions for the rural population in Mato Grosso do Sul.
