A 15-year-old boy from Manaus, Brazil, is being investigated for his role in planning a potential school attack in the state of Minas Gerais. The Amazonas Civil Police executed a search warrant at the teen's residence after receiving information about the planned attack. The investigation reveals that the teenager had been in contact via the internet with a girl from Minas Gerais, and together they allegedly plotted the incident, although it never came to fruition.

According to Luiz Rocha, deputy from the Specialized Police Station for Investigating Infringing Acts (Deaai), the adolescent communicated threats through social media and even lent his email to the girl to create an account used for their discussions. Reports indicated that in a school group, he referenced the use of Molotov cocktails and knives, raising significant alarms regarding the seriousness of their plans.

The involvement of the Public Ministry in this case highlights the broader implications of youth engagement in violent plots and the critical role of law enforcement in preempting potential tragedies. Authorities are taking preventive measures to address and deter such behavior, reflecting a heightened awareness of school safety and the responsibilities of young individuals in online interactions.
