Man arrested after attempting to attack sister and niece with hammer in RO
A man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his sister and niece with a hammer in Candeias do Jamari, Brazil.
A man was arrested on Wednesday (18th), suspected of attacking his own sister and niece in Candeias do Jamari, Rondônia. According to the Military Police, he attempted to hit both women with a hammer during a heated confrontation. Police were called to the scene around 5 PM, where the niece reported that the suspect was aggressive, kicking her and her mother in addition to attempting to assault them with the tool.
The man's sister corroborated her daughter's account to the officers, stating that the situation had escalated significantly. The police noted that both victims showed signs of aggression, and the situation could have become much worse had they not intervened. The suspect denied the accusations, claiming he did not throw any objects at them. However, during the police approach, it was discovered that he was wearing an electronic ankle bracelet that had been disabled for several days, violating court mandates.
Subsequently, the man was arrested and taken to the Central of Flagrantes (DEFLAG) in Porto Velho for further proceedings.
