In the 2026 ranking, Melbourne, Australia, secured the first place, with its residents praising the city for hosting significant sporting events such as the Australian Open and the recent opening of the Metro Tunnel. This strong appreciation from the local population is reflected in the high ratings they gave to the city’s dining scene, where 94% of residents rated it positively, and the art offerings, which were lauded by 92% of respondents.

Other cities showcased in the ranking include Shanghai, which came in second, and additional global destinations that highlight a variety of cultural offerings and lifestyle benefits.
