Fernanda Santos, a 53-year-old reporter producer for TV Globo, died in a car accident on Wednesday night in the northern region of São Paulo. The incident occurred at the intersection of Afonso Lopes Vieira Street and General Penha Brasil Avenue when the ride-hailing car she was in made an illegal turn and collided head-on with another vehicle. Despite being rushed to the hospital, she succumbed to her injuries and did not survive.

She graduated in journalism from Unesp in Bauru in 1998 and worked at fixing ATMs before joining TV Globo in 2005. Throughout her career, she was known for her dedication, primarily working in the news production team and, at times, as a reporter, allowing her to indulge in her deep passion for carnival coverage.

Fernanda's contribution to the media and her vibrant personality will be missed, particularly during the carnival season where she actively participated in covering samba schools. Her death not only marks a significant loss to her family but also to her colleagues and the community that cherished her work and spirit.
