Uema opens registrations for selective process with 599 remaining vacancies using Enem scores
The Universidade Estadual do Maranhão opened registrations for a simplified selective process offering 599 available spots for undergraduate courses based on Enem scores from 2024 and 2025.
The Universidade Estadual do Maranhão (Uema) has announced the opening of registrations for a simplified selection process that includes 599 remaining vacancies for its on-campus undergraduate programs. This opportunity is specifically targeted at candidates who participated in the National High School Examination (Enem) during its 2024 or 2025 editions. Interested individuals can register online until Friday (the 20th), with a registration fee set at R$ 50. All available positions are offered under an open competition model.
Candidates eligible for this selection must have successfully completed high school and achieved a minimum score of 300 points on the Enem tests without receiving a zero on the essay portion. The vacancies are intended for the first semester of 2026, and selection will be based solely on the Enem scores, eliminating the need for a new examination. This initiative aims to fill the remaining places in the graduate courses and increase accessibility for students who qualify.
Uema will allocate these positions in order of classification, relying on the final average scores from the Enem. In cases of ties, the university has predetermined criteria to resolve such situations and ensure a fair selection process. This effort reflects Uema’s commitment to expanding educational opportunities and making higher education more accessible to prospective students in Maranhão.
