In a recent statement, Ignas Dobrovolskas, an advisor to the Lithuanian Prime Minister, emphasized that decisions made by the United States regarding sanctions on Belarus are matters of national policy specific to the US. He reiterated Lithuania's steadfast position, advocating for a strict sanctions regime against Belarus. This statement comes in response to news of the US lifting sanctions on several Belarusian entities including Belinvestbank and the country’s Ministry of Finance, following a meeting between US Special Envoy John Coale and Belarusian President.
