More than 100 cars have dropped in price: which models have the biggest discounts

Due to a decline in sales and the elimination of the luxury tax, car prices have significantly decreased in Argentina this month.

Car prices in Argentina have become a focus of attention as significant reductions are being observed across various models in the local market. The primary driver of these price drops is the removal of the internal luxury tax, which is expected to be completely phased out by April. This regulatory change comes at a time when sales have been particularly weak, with January and February reflecting a slump compared to the same period in 2022.

Ford has been at the forefront of these changes, marking the most substantial reductions in prices within the market. For instance, the price of the Mustang GT has seen a dramatic reduction of 27%, going from US$90,000 to US$65,000. Additionally, the upcoming Mustang Dark Horse, which has faced stock shortages, will have its price drop from US$97,000 to US$75,000, reflecting a decrease of approximately 22.7%.

This notable shift in car pricing could arise from a strategic adjustment by manufacturers to stimulate consumer interest amid declining sales figures. Analysts suggest that these changes could not only benefit consumers looking for better deals but also potentially rejuvenate the auto market in Argentina in the wake of economic pressures.
