The Polícia Civil, in cooperation with the Polícia Militar, Municipal Guards, and the São Paulo State Department of Transit, executed an operation named "Transformers" aiming to combat the illegal receipt of stolen goods and the unauthorized operation of dismantling yards in Taquarituba, São Paulo. On Wednesday, the action led to the arrest of two suspects and uncovered a range of illegal activities occurring at a junkyard. During the investigation, officers discovered a pickup truck reported stolen in 2025, alongside various parts from other vehicles, signaling organized and ongoing illegal operations in the area. The findings confirmed suspicions about the junkyard's operations being in violation of local regulations. The Polícia Militar revealed that the junkyard was found operating without the necessary permits and held numerous automotive parts of dubious origin, including a stolen imported vehicle that had been incinerated.
