Starlink reaches a significant milestone with over 10,000 satellites in orbit, far surpassing its competitors.
Starlink, the satellite constellation operated by billionaire Elon Musk's SpaceX, has crossed the milestone of 10,000 satellites in orbit, a figure that is 15 times greater than that of its nearest European competitor, Eutelsat. The satellites' latest launch occurred on March 13 from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, marking a major achievement in the company's ambitious project to provide global internet coverage through its vast array of satellites. Currently, Starlink boasts 10,003 satellites in orbit, compared to just 651 for Eutelsat's OneWeb, highlighting Starlink's dominant position in the satellite internet market.
