Minister Dariusz Klimczak: Procedures cannot block investments
Minister Dariusz Klimczak discusses necessary reforms and increased funding to support large infrastructure projects in Poland.
In a recent discussion, Minister Dariusz Klimczak emphasized the importance of adapting procedures to facilitate significant infrastructure investments in Poland. He pointed out that these projects are crucial not only for the national economy but also for improving logistics and market conditions. The minister and his team are strategizing to create a conducive environment for future investments, ensuring that essential reforms are implemented in the construction procedures.
One of the barriers to swift project execution is accessing adequate funding. Klimczak highlighted that when he took office, the infrastructure budget was around 58 billion PLN, which has now more than doubled to over 100 billion PLN for this year. This increase is a result of unblocking funds previously allocated and ensuring their optimal use. Such financial backing is pivotal for the realization of major infrastructure endeavors that will reshape how Poles interact with the economy and each other.
Furthermore, Klimczak mentioned Poland's efforts to enhance international cooperation in transport projects and cross-border connections. This international focus not only improves the countryโs infrastructural capabilities but also positions Poland as a key player in regional connectivity. By addressing both internal funding challenges and fostering international partnerships, the Polish government aims to leverage these projects for long-term economic growth and stability.
