The Lithuanian Ministry of the Interior is proposing stricter legal measures to tackle habitual offenders and enhance law enforcement effectiveness against organized crime and smuggling.
Lithuania's Minister of the Interior, Vladislavs Kondratovičius, has announced proposed legal reforms aimed at addressing systemic offenders and improving the efficiency of law enforcement agencies. According to Kondratovičius, the goal of these changes is to create conditions that allow the state to ensure the enforcement of decisions made by law enforcement agencies and to protect public interests. The government cannot allow a situation where criminal behavior goes unpunished, highlighting the need for zero tolerance towards impunity.
