APC senatorial aspirant urges support for Tinubu

Nigerian APC senatorial aspirant Gyang Zi encourages support for President Bola Tinubu, citing the failures of previous administrations in Nigeria.

In a recent press conference in Jos, Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mr. Gyang Zi urged Nigerians to rally behind President Bola Tinubu as he endeavors to rebuild a country he described as having been severely damaged by past administrations. Zi, who is also vying for the Plateau North senatorial seat with the All Progressives Congress, critiqued the change of government in 2015, attributing Nigeria's declining state to what he called internal sabotage during the tenure of former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Zi acknowledged some progress made during Jonathan’s time, particularly in education and poverty reduction, but emphasized that these achievements were undermined by a lack of support and an eventual change of leadership that led to former President Muhammadu Buhari taking charge. He pointed out that Buhari lacked the readiness for the complexity of governance, resulting in significant setbacks for the nation over his eight-year tenure, causing regression in various sectors including the economy and education.

The call for support for President Tinubu comes amid ongoing concerns about Nigeria's security and economic situation, with Zi highlighting a need for unity among Nigerians. He posited that the previous administration had done more damage than good, suggesting that renewed support and a collective effort towards recovery under Tinubu's leadership are crucial for the nation's revival.
