Wada concedes โ Donald Trump will participate in the World Cup
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has postponed its decision on potentially banning state officials from international competitions until September, now allowing U.S. President Donald Trump to participate in events like the upcoming World Cup.
The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) has decided to delay its ruling regarding potential sanctions against state officials from countries that have failed to pay annual fees to the agency. This decision comes after it was revealed that the United States had not paid its dues since 2023, accruing around 6.4 million euros in unpaid fees. WADA was originally set to address a rule change this week that would have excluded such officials, including President Donald Trump, from major sporting events, notably the forthcoming World Cup scheduled to be held in the United States, Mexico, and Canada next summer.
