A key player from Žalgiris, M. Wright, is reportedly set to join Barcelona after reaching an agreement for a contract until summer 2028.
According to journalist Alessandro Maggi from Sportando, 26-year-old center M. Wright has reached an agreement with the Barcelona basketball team. Reports indicate that the American player will sign a contract to play in Catalonia until the summer of 2028. Wright's potential move to Barcelona had been discussed previously, but at that time no agreement had been finalized.
When asked about the rumors, Wright confirmed that he is in talks with EuroLeague teams and did not dismiss the interest from Barcelona. Additionally, Maggi mentions that Barcelona is also interested in another Žalgiris player, Sylvain Francisco. However, Francisco, who recently changed agents, is primarily looking towards the NBA and will consider switching to a EuroLeague team only later.
Furthermore, reports suggest that Istanbul's Anadolu Efes and Paris Basketball are also in the mix for Francisco's services. M.
