On the morning of March 19, a Russian attack on infrastructure in the city of Zaporizhzhia left one individual critically injured and caused significant power outages affecting around 40,000 consumers. Ivan Fedorov, the Head of Zaporizhzhia Oblast Military Administration, reported that Russian forces targeted the oblast center, leading to voltage fluctuations in various areas as electricity supply was disrupted.

Following the attack, numerous consumers, including approximately 38,000 households and 2,000 businesses, faced electricity shortages. To minimize the impact of the outages, Fedorov noted that facilities were being switched to backup power sources to maintain operations. Remarkably, as of 08:20 the same day, electricity supply had already been restored to over 83% of those affected, demonstrating a rapid response to the crisis.

This incident not only highlights the continued threat posed by Russian military actions in Ukraine but also underscores the vulnerability of crucial infrastructure during conflict.
