The weekend will be cooler and rainy, it may snow in the mountains
This weekend, temperatures in Czechia will drop, with rain expected and potential snowfall in higher elevations.
This weekend, the Czech Republic is forecasted to experience a significant drop in temperatures accompanied by rainy weather. The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute has indicated that temperatures, which previously reached up to 18 degrees Celsius, will now only peak at around 10 degrees on Saturday, with the southern Moravian region possibly seeing 12 degrees. On Sunday, the highest temperatures may reach only 13 degrees.
Meteorologists predict clear to partly cloudy skies on Thursday and Friday, with temperatures reaching up to 15 degrees on Thursday and 14 degrees on Friday. However, Saturday will bring overcast conditions with occasional rainfall or showers across the country, as well as snowfall in mountainous areas above 800 meters. Overnight temperatures on Saturday are expected to drop to near freezing, causing a further chill during the day where most regions will see temperatures ranging from six to ten degrees Celsius.
On Saturday night into Sunday, there is a possibility of frost forming, with temperatures likely hovering between four degrees Celsius and zero. This shift in weather marks a distinct change from the previous warm conditions, indicating the onset of colder weather patterns typical for the Czech winter months ahead, affecting outdoor activities and potentially leading to early holiday preparations in the region.
