Principal Beat Student So Severely That He Sustained Internal Injuries
A principal in Munger, Bihar, allegedly beat a student to the point of sustaining internal injuries after the student revealed improper conduct by teachers.
In a disturbing incident in Munger's Sahuja Middle School, teachers, including Principal Pradeep Kumar Singh, have been accused of retaliating against students who spoke out about improper behavior during a school event. Ayush Kumar and several other students reported that teachers conducted a 'murgi party' in the campus, after which Ayush was brutally beaten by the principal when he returned to school. Other teachers present did nothing to intervene during the attack, raising concerns about the overall environment of accountability and safety for students in the institution.
The violent assault left Ayush with serious injuries, prompting concern from his parents who were informed by a classmate. Upon reaching the school, Ayush's mother and grandmother found that the principal had fled the scene. They immediately took Ayush to the community health center in Asarganj, where doctors examined him and confirmed that he had sustained significant injuries to his chest that required further treatment. He was referred to Mayaganj Hospital in Bhagalpur for specialized care, highlighting the gravity of his condition.
This incident shines a light on the troubling issues within the educational system in Bihar regarding student safety and teacher accountability. Such violence not only affects the physical health of students but also poses serious implications for the perception of teacher-student relationships and the responsibility of school administration to protect their students. The principal's actions, coupled with a lack of intervention from other teachers, reflect broader issues in the systemic approach to handling complaints and ensuring a safe school environment for all students.
