Russia's war with Ukraine. Day 1485
Ukrainian drones attacked Odessa overnight, injuring three and damaging residential buildings, while Ukrainian forces successfully targeted a Russian electronic warfare station in Zaporizhzhia Oblast.
During the night, Ukrainian drone strikes targeted the port city of Odessa, resulting in injuries to at least three people and damage to several residential buildings, as reported by the city's mayor, Serhij Lysak. The attack also sparked several fires, which have since been extinguished. The injured individuals required hospitalization, underscoring the ongoing risks faced by civilians in conflict zones like Odessa.
In a separate military development, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces successfully executed an attack on a Russian electronic warfare station located in Zaporizhzhia Oblast. The assault was reportedly carried out by operators from the 413th Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and targeted the R-330Zh Zhytiel system, known for disrupting communication channels of drones and aircraft up to 25 kilometers away. This station was situated approximately 30 kilometers from the front lines, indicating the strategic efforts by Ukraine to hinder Russian capabilities.
Furthermore, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov reiterated the country's unchanged stance on the continuation of the war with Ukraine in a conversation with the newspaper "Izvestia". This statement reflects the persistent tensions and unyielding positions from the Russian leadership, suggesting that diplomatic resolutions may remain elusive as military actions continue to escalate.
