BYD, a Chinese automotive company, announced that its plant in Camaçari, Brazil, has received export orders totaling 100,000 vehicles, split equally between Argentina and Mexico. Stella Li, the director of BYD Americas, shared this information during an event in Rio de Janeiro, highlighting the company's strategic expansion plans in Latin America. The Camaçari plant, which previously belonged to Ford, has an annual production capacity of 150,000 vehicles, but BYD intends to increase this capacity to 600,000 units in the future. Currently, the factory is producing models like the Dolphin Mini, which is a city car, the Song Pro SUV, and the King sedan, with two of these models already available for sale in Argentina.
