"Parkiet" gives out the "Bulls and Bears" awards and invites to the Financial Market Forum
The 32nd annual "Bulls and Bears" awards ceremony will honor the top performers in the capital market and coincide with the Financial Market Forum event in Warsaw.
The oldest financial newspaper in Poland, "Parkiet," is gearing up for its 32nd annual "Bulls and Bears" awards ceremony, where it recognizes the outstanding achievements in the capital markets. This year, the award ceremony will take place on March 19 at the Warsaw Stock Exchange, marking a special occasion as it will also celebrate the first Financial Market Forum. This all-day event will feature discussions with key decision-makers and panels focused on capital market dynamics, investment financing, the future of the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW), and the most promising sectors of the economy.
The "Bulls and Bears" awards will be presented for the achievements of 2025, a year characterized by numerous challenges and turning points in the macroeconomic and geopolitical landscape. Among the significant events noted were Donald Trump's victory in the U.S. presidency, trade wars, and a series of interest rate cuts in Poland. However, despite the tumultuous environment, it was a remarkable year for investors in the Warsaw Stock Exchange, as the WIG index achieved a gain of 47%, marking the highest increase since 1996. Additionally, the WIG20 index rose by over 45%, and the mWIG40 index saw an almost 34% increase.
This celebration provides a platform for reflecting on the resilient performance of the capital markets amidst uncertainties and highlights the importance of recognizing achievements to inspire future growth. As the forum engages stakeholders from various sectors of the economy, it underlines Poland's evolving financial landscape and the critical role that informed dialogue plays in shaping market trends and investment strategies.
