The coordination center for Maritime Rescue, led by the Coast Guard Command, initiated the necessary protocols to manage the incident efficiently.
In response to the emergency, the Regional Directorate of Aquatic Spaces and Coastal Guard designated a Sub-Coordinating Center for Maritime Rescue to oversee operations in the area. This move highlights the organized efforts of Ecuador's emergency response units to address maritime incidents and ensure safety in its waters. As part of their action, an immediate dispatch of a Coast Guard unit assigned to the Insular region was ordered to reach the incident site swiftly.
