The connection of the plots: Santos Cerdán's partner in Servinabar tried to connect Acciona with Forestalia and UGT

Antxon Alonso attempted to link Acciona and Forestalia through his company Servinabar while also involving UGT and employing the son of its general secretary.

Antxon Alonso, a business partner of Santos Cerdán, the former number two of Pedro Sánchez in the PSOE, reportedly tried to leverage their joint company, Servinabar, to facilitate business dealings between Acciona and Forestalia, both of which are currently under investigation for alleged bribery. Additionally, Alonso sought to connect Acciona with UGT, a significant trade union, while employing the son of UGT's secretary general in Navarra, Jesús Santos, at Servinabar.

This developing connection between the two companies and the union has surfaced in documents submitted to Judge Ismael Moreno of the National Audience, who is presiding over the investigation into potentially rigged contracts linked to the two corporations. Acciona has acknowledged discrepancies in payments made to Servinabar for two construction projects - the highway in Logroño and the San Feliú de Guíxols train - and has provided the court with a comprehensive list of all projects initiated with Servinabar, including evident references to collaborations with Forestalia and UGT regarding renewable energy parks.

These revelations shine a light on possible corrupt practices within the Spanish business and political landscape, potentially implicating high-ranking individuals and stir public concern regarding accountability and transparency in government contracts. The involvement of key players from both the political sector and labor organizations raises questions about the depth of the connections and the extent to which such networks may influence public procurement and business operations in Spain.
