Iran attacks 5 Gulf countries with missiles and drones

Iran has launched missile and drone attacks on Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain, prompting condemnation from various Arab capitals.

On Wednesday, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, and Bahrain reported missile and drone attacks from Iran, leading to a swift condemnation from multiple Arab nations regarding the Iranian targeting of the industrial city of Ras Laffan in Qatar. Qatar's Ministry of Defense confirmed that the country was struck by two ballistic missiles from Iran, with a total of five missile attacks repelled, while one missile hit the Ras Laffan area, causing a fire. In response to the attacks, Qatar declared personnel from the Iranian embassy in Doha as 'unwelcome', underscoring rising tensions between the two nations due to repeated Iranian incursions.

Reports also noted that in Riyadh, four Asian nationals were injured from debris resulting from the interception of a ballistic missile targeting the city. The Saudi Ministry of Defense reported that four ballistic missiles aimed at Riyadh were successfully intercepted and destroyed. This escalation marks a significant increase in the ongoing regional tensions, particularly in the Gulf, and raises concerns about the potential for wider conflict as these nations react to Iran's aggressive military posturing.
