Jetour arrives in Brazil with hybrid SUVs starting at R$ 199,000
Chinese automaker Jetour has officially launched its operations in Brazil, introducing three SUV models and plans for future releases.
Jetour, a subsidiary of the Chery Group, has officially commenced operations in Brazil on June 18, 2023, debuting with three hybrid SUV models: the S06, T1, and T2. The company aims to leverage its attractive promotional pre-sale pricing, valid until the end of April 2023, to establish a firm foothold in the Brazilian market. Despite appealing designs that suggest a focus on adventure, the company's current offerings do not include all-wheel-drive options, which may influence consumer interest amid a diverse automotive landscape.
Since February, Jetour has established 14 points of sale in Brazil, with ambitions to expand this number to 100 by the end of 2026. The strategic choice of opening a parts distribution center in Cajamar, São Paulo, reflects their commitment to after-sales support, which is crucial for building trust with Brazilian consumers. This logistical infrastructure aims to ensure timely service and maintenance for Jetour vehicles, promoting the brand's growth and reliability in this competitive market.
All models will feature the Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS), which utilizes sensors to assist in accident mitigation, enhancing safety for drivers and passengers alike. As Jetour prepares to launch additional models by 2026, including advancements in technology and safety features, its entry can be seen as a notable development in Brazil's evolving automotive industry, targeting environmentally conscious consumers eager for well-equipped vehicles at competitive prices.
