The Regional Medical Council of Bahia (Cremeb) has initiated an investigation into a troubling case involving at least 11 patients who experienced vision loss in one eye after undergoing cataract surgery at the Clivan clinic in Salvador. In response to these complaints, the Cremeb conducted inspections at the clinic, which subsequently led to its closure at the beginning of the month. The clinic's contract with the city government has also been suspended as a result.
