US Intelligence: The Iranian Regime is Significantly Degraded

US intelligence officials have stated that the Iranian regime appears intact but has been largely degraded due to ongoing US and Israeli strikes.

During a Senate hearing, National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabard highlighted that while the Iranian regime might seem unaffected, it is significantly degraded due to continuous attacks from the US and Israel. This was part of an annual threat assessment presented to the Senate Intelligence Committee, which identified China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran as the primary adversaries facing the US worldwide.

Gabard, alongside other senior officials, faced inquiries from Democratic senators regarding the intelligence shared with President Trump before and during the conflict with Iran. Although they refrained from providing specific details about their discussions with the President, CIA Director John Ratcliffe indicated that he routinely updates Trump several times a day with intelligence data.

In her written opening statement, Gabard asserted that Iran's nuclear enrichment program has been 'destroyed' following air strikes in 2025. This comments reflect a broader context of ongoing military tensions in the region and the implications for global security, as Iran remains a focal point of US foreign policy amidst fears of nuclear proliferation and regional destabilization.
