Juazeiro do Norte is celebrating the 182nd anniversary of Priest Cícero with various cultural and religious activities from March 20 to 24.

The city of Juazeiro do Norte is commemorating the 182nd anniversary of the birth of Priest Cícero Romão Batista through the 44th edition of Padre Cícero Week, which takes place from March 20 to 24. The event offers a wide array of religious, cultural, and community service activities aimed at engaging the local population. The main events will be centered around the Largo da Capela do Socorro, but programming will also extend to various locations throughout the city over the five days of festivities.

Planned activities include masses, musical performances, an entrepreneurship fair, citizenship action plans, and the traditional cake cutting in honor of Priest Cícero, affectionately referred to as "Padim". An important highlight of the week will be the Half Marathon Padre Cícero, scheduled for Sunday, March 22, which will start at Praça da Sé in the neighboring municipality of Crato and end at the Center for Pilgrims in Juazeiro do Norte. Furthermore, a significant reopening of the Padre Cícero Memorial is set for March 24 after extensive renovations, symbolizing the city's deep respect and connection to its historical figure.
