LaLiga reported record earnings of 5.464 billion euros for the 2024/2025 season, reflecting an 8% increase from the previous season.

LaLiga has achieved a historic milestone by closing the 2024/2025 season with earnings of 5.464 billion euros, representing an 8% increase over the 23/24 season. This remarkable growth can be attributed to improved commercial revenues, which rose by 22.5% to 1.584 billion euros, as well as increased matchday revenues, which saw a significant increase of 25%, reaching 902 million euros, thanks to 18 million spectators attending the stadiums. The report detailing these financial results was unveiled during a presentation at LaLiga’s headquarters in Madrid.

During the presentation, Javier Gómez, the corporate general director, expressed confidence that LaLiga would continue its growth trajectory, projecting a possibility of surpassing the 6 billion euro mark in earnings by the 2027/2028 season. These projections indicate a healthy and robust financial environment for Spanish professional football, suggesting that the commercial strategies and appeal of live matches are effectively attracting more fans and revenue. This is not only a positive sign for LaLiga but also for the broader landscape of sports finance in Spain.

The substantial increase in attendance and commercial income highlights the increasing interest in LaLiga, positioning it competitively among the top football leagues globally. With the backing of successful business operations and the returning fan interest post-pandemic, LaLiga is set to enhance its brand value and financial stability, which could lead to further investments and development within Spanish football moving forward.
