Reconstruction: Sogesid S.p.A. launches the online platform to monitor construction sites in Emilia-Romagna

Sogesid S.p.A. has launched an online platform to monitor reconstruction efforts in the Emilia-Romagna region following severe flooding events.

In a meeting held today at the Town Council Hall of Modigliana, Italy, local officials, including the Undersecretary of the Emilia-Romagna Region, Manuela Rontini, and the Vice Commissioner Gianluca Loffredo, discussed the reconstruction and maintenance plans instituted after the catastrophic floods that hit the region in May 2023 and September 2024. This meeting aimed to provide updates on various recovery initiatives and emphasized the role of Sogesid S.p.A., a state engineering company, in managing these efforts. The CEO of Sogesid, Errico Stravato, presented the progress of the ongoing projects overseen by the company.

In Modigliana alone, Sogesid has been appointed to carry out 11 projects with a total investment of approximately 61.29 million euros. As of now, seven of these projects have been approved, with designated contractors and management teams already in place, and construction sites scheduled to commence. Notably, the completion of the Ca’ Stronchino bridge is highlighted as one of the key projects that have already been executed in response to the flooding crisis.

The initiation of this online platform also reflects the commitment of the Emilia-Romagna government and Sogesid to enhance transparency and efficiency in monitoring the reconstruction process. By allowing stakeholders to track the status of construction projects in real-time, the platform aims to foster greater accountability and public engagement in the recovery efforts following the devastating natural disasters.
