Russian Human Rights Body Calls for Investigation Into ‘Mr. Nobody Against Putin’
Russia's human rights council has condemned the documentary “Mr. Nobody Against Putin” for using footage of children without parental consent, calling for an investigation into the matter following the film's Academy Award win.
The Russian Presidential Council for Civil Society and Human Rights has expressed strong disapproval of the documentary "Mr. Nobody Against Putin," which recently won the Oscar for best documentary. The film, directed by Pavel Talankin, focuses on the indoctrination of schoolchildren within the framework of Russia's state ideology, particularly during the ongoing war in Ukraine. The council's primary concern centers on the use of footage depicting minors, which they allege was filmed without the consent of their parents. This has raised substantial ethical questions regarding the portrayal and treatment of children in media.
