A man was arrested in Paraíba for allegedly beating his wife and threatening her with a hoe after she reported the abuse to the police.
In Paraíba, Brazil, a man was arrested for domestic violence after allegedly assaulting his wife by punching her in the head and threatening her with a hoe. The incident occurred in Poço José de Moura on Monday, October 17, and follows a distress call made by the victim to the police. Upon the police's intervention, it was reported that the man had also damaged the woman's motorcycle and various items in their home, showcasing a pattern of violent behavior.
After the victim contacted the Integrated Command and Control Center (CICC), local police were dispatched to the scene. Although the suspect had fled by the time they arrived, police units conducted searches in the area and successfully located him soon after. At the time of his apprehension, the suspect was noted to be under the influence of alcohol, which may have contributed to his aggressive actions.
Both the victim and the suspect underwent examinations to assess injuries, as per standard procedure in cases of domestic violence. Moving forward, the man is expected to appear at a custody hearing.
