Grossi: The IAEA does not know the status of the new Iranian enrichment facility in Isfahan
IAEA Director Rafael Grossi stated that the agency is unaware of the conditions of the new Iranian uranium enrichment facility in Isfahan due to an aborted inspection visit.
Rafael Grossi, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), announced on Wednesday that the agency does not have knowledge about the new Iranian uranium enrichment facility located in a subterranean nuclear complex in Isfahan. He mentioned that although the facility is underground, the IAEA has not yet conducted an inspection there. Grossi is currently in Washington for a conference and discussions with officials from the Trump administration. Iran had notified the United Nations nuclear watchdog about this new facility in June, and inspectors were scheduled to visit Isfahan later that month, but their visit was canceled due to escalating tensions following the onset of a 12-day war with Israel.
