Ukrainian intelligence hits radar station, air defence assets and two landing craft in occupied Crimea β video
Ukrainian intelligence successfully targeted and struck key Russian military assets in Crimea, including a radar station and landing craft.
During a strategic operation in early March, Ukrainian intelligence, specifically the special unit known as Prymary, successfully targeted multiple Russian military assets in the occupied Crimea. The operation included strikes on the Valdai radar station, which is critical for detecting and countering small drones, along with other vital military assets. This precision strike aims to weaken Russian operational capabilities in the region as hostilities continue between Ukraine and Russia.
In addition to the radar station, the Ukrainian strikes disabled a radio jamming station, a relay station that supported loitering munitions, and also compromised a GLONASS navigation system unit. Such assets are crucial for maintaining Russia's military communications and operational effectiveness, and their destruction represents a significant tactical gain for Ukraine. This highlights the ongoing efforts of Ukrainian forces to disrupt and diminish Russian military infrastructure.
Moreover, the strikes also targeted two Project 02510 BK-16 landing craft as they were in transit with their crews onboard. This part of the operation not only demonstrates the efficiency and capability of Ukrainian intelligence but also indicates a pressing intention to target enemy logistical and naval capabilities as part of the broader military strategy. With Ukraine focusing on degrading Russian assets in Crimea, these operations signify a continuous commitment to reclaiming and securing their territory against ongoing aggression.
