K-pop fans paralyze the National Pension Service with protests over Heeseung's departure... 'Give back our Heeseung!'
K-pop fans protested against the National Pension Service after a member of the boy group ENHYPEN, Heeseung, announced his departure, leading to a surge of complaints that disrupted the pension service's operations.
The National Pension Service (NPS) of South Korea experienced a temporary paralysis after international K-pop fans flooded the agency with protest calls, following the announcement that Heeseung, a member of the boy group ENHYPEN, would be leaving the group. Heeseung's departure sparked outrage among fans, leading them to direct their grievances at the NPS, which is a major shareholder in the company managing ENHYPEN, HYBE Corporation. NPS's director Kim Sung-joo revealed on social media that the agency received an influx of calls and over 1,500 emails within a short period, which were a direct response to a post on social media urging fans to contact the NPS regarding Heeseung's exit.
