On March 17, they signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening workforce development in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and enhancing industry-academic partnerships. This initiative will involve the establishment of contract-based programs and exchanges necessary for training global AI talents, along with expanding user-centric AI educational projects.
The South Korean Small and Medium Enterprises Association reported its participation at the ASD Market Week, a prominent consumer goods exhibition held at the Las Vegas Convention Center. This year's event commenced on March 17 and typically attracts around 30,000 buyers from the U.S. and Latin America. The association's involvement underscores the importance of such expos for the growth and international reach of small and medium-sized enterprises in South Korea, looking to showcase their products and establish networking opportunities.
Further, the Ministry of Unification announced a call for civil organizations to run programs focusing on peace, unification, and civic education in local communities until April 6. Selected groups will receive support of about 50 million won each for their projects, aimed at fostering democratic citizenship and enhancing awareness of inter-Korean relations in the public sphere.
