On March 17, police in Alytus received a report of a stabbing incident involving an unknown assailant armed with a knife who attacked a young male football player born in 2005. The victim has been hospitalized due to multiple stab wounds. Authorities have arrested a suspect, born in 2007, who is now in custody pending further legal actions.

The preliminary investigation suggests that the suspect stabbed the victim at least three times in various locations on his body, constituting an attempt on the young athlete's life.
