Defendant Charged with Consent Murder Also Suspected of Killing Another Person 11 Years Ago, Prosecutors Reveal at Initial Trial

A 31-year-old man, charged with consent murder for killing a 21-year-old woman in 2018, is now facing renewed allegations for a similar crime committed in 2015.

In a recent trial held at the Saitama District Court, prosecutors revealed that a 31-year-old man, Jun Saito, who was indicted for consent murder in 2018 involving the death of a 21-year-old woman from Ibaraki, is also suspected of previously murdering another woman, aged 22, in 2015. During the initial court proceedings, Saito admitted to both charges. Prosecutors indicated that his motivation for the 2018 murder stemmed from a fascination with a notorious case in 2017 where multiple corpses were discovered in Zama City, leading him to fantasize about dismembering bodies.
