The Museum of the Portuguese Language, located in São Paulo, is celebrating its 20th anniversary by hosting a special event this Saturday, which offers a variety of free activities, including music, dance, technology exhibitions, and guided tours. A standout feature of the commemoration is an unprecedented live performance that emphasizes the significance of the Portuguese language in an artistic context, showcasing its cultural richness and diverse expressions.

During the event, the musicians Tiganá Santana, José Miguel Wisnik, and João Camarero will perform at the Praça da Língua, known as the 'planetarium of words,' at noon. They will be joined by actress and singer Zahy Tentehar to create a unique musical dialogue centered around the various dimensions of the Portuguese language. This artistic collaboration will highlight influences from Afro-Brazilian soundscapes and indigenous cultural references, fostering a deeper understanding of the linguistic diversity in Brazil.

Additionally, at 10 am, the museum will unveil its new Digital Database, a platform designed to compile and showcase content produced over its 20-year history. This online collection will include images, videos, and other resources, making the museum's wealth of knowledge and cultural heritage more accessible to the public, and reinforcing the significance of the Portuguese language as a fundamental part of Brazil's identity.
