Colombia trains police from Jalisco: receive anti-terrorism training ahead of the 2026 World Cup

In preparation for the FIFA World Cup 2026, police officers from the state of Jalisco in Mexico, including metropolitan and municipal elements from the metropolitan area, have begun specialized training in Urban Tactical Operations and anti-terrorism. This training is being conducted by the Special Operations and Anti-Terrorism Command (COPES) of Colombia's National Police. During the ceremony marking the start of the training, Jalisco's Secretary of State Security, Juan Pablo Hernández González, emphasized the need for modern security forces to adapt by learning from international organizations.
