Seven men have been sentenced by Kingston Crown Court for various roles in a series of smash-and-grab raids on luxury shops across London, during which they stole valuable items including watches, art, and designer goods. The group executed five successful burglaries between May and July 2025, exploiting the vulnerability of high-value stores. They utilized tools like bricks and sledgehammers to break into the shops and a stolen Ford Fiesta to ram through doors.

The court revealed that the total value of goods stolen amounted to £146,356, with the thefts creating significant financial loss for the store owners and raising concerns about safety in affluent retail areas. Such incidents not only affect businesses but also undermine consumer confidence in shopping environments perceived to be secure.
