Ukraine and Britain enter into a new agreement

Ukraine and Britain have signed a new cooperation agreement during a visit by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi to London.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi visited London on Tuesday, meeting with British leadership, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer. During their discussions, Starmer emphasized the importance of maintaining attention on Ukraine despite distractions such as the war in Iran. He stressed that Russia's President Vladimir Putin should not benefit from the conflict in Iran, whether through oil prices or sanctions relief.

The leaders announced a new defense industrial partnership aimed at countering the use of inexpensive drones, specifically referencing the Iranian Shahed drones that have been sold to Moscow and deployed in Ukraine. They recognized the need for collaboration in defense technologies to ensure Ukraine's security amid ongoing tensions with Russia.

Moreover, the United Kingdom committed to financing an artificial intelligence center in Kyiv, pledging 500 million pounds to boost Ukraine's capabilities in this critical technology sector. This investment reflects a broader strategy to strengthen Ukraine's technological and defense infrastructure while providing support against Russian aggression.
