A tragic accident occurred on the Anhanguera Highway (SP-330) in Santa Rita do Passa Quatro, São Paulo, resulting in the death of a truck driver. The incident took place on the afternoon of Tuesday, October 17, when two trucks collided under circumstances that are currently under investigation. One driver reportedly entered a lane that was closed for construction work, leading to the accident.

According to the Multi-Modal Control Center (CCM), the driver who died collided with the rear of another truck and subsequently crashed into a metal guardrail near the central median. This sequence of collisions left both trucks immobilized at the site, prompting a response from emergency services. As the investigation continues, the identity of the deceased driver has not yet been confirmed.

The concessionaire managing that section of the highway, Arteris ViaPaulista, has been notified of the incident.
