The outbreak has been traced back to a nightclub in Canterbury during the weekend of March 5–7, which has put health officials on alert. They are urging anyone who visited the club on those dates or has had close contact with suspected cases to seek immediate medical attention at four designated emergency hubs. Here, individuals can receive a single, effective dose of antibiotics to help curb the spread of the disease.
