However, she expressed that if such a request were to be made, it would be considered very carefully. Moreover, Siliņa emphasized Latvia's support for the quick resolution of tensions in the Strait of Hormuz. She indicated that European officials plan to discuss measures to mitigate oil price increases at the upcoming European Council meeting, further showcasing the interconnectedness of regional security and economic implications for Europe. The Prime Minister clarified Latvia's stance on military support, stating that NATO is aware of each ally's capacities.
