The incident occurred in the Village do Lago II neighborhood when the police were tipped off about the suspect's location on Rua Laurita Ferreira Alves, where he was reportedly waiting to meet another man to deliver drugs. Upon noticing the police presence, the suspect fled toward an empty lot and began to run, prompting a police chase.
During the chase, the suspect managed to escape by entering a wooded area, jumping off the embankment, and ending up in the stream. The police reported that the man fled in the direction of the Monte SiΓ£o neighborhood and has yet to be identified. Following the escape, officers conducted a search along the suspected escape route and confiscated a cardboard box containing eight bars of cocaine, which was then taken to the police station for further investigation and processing.
